Reshma Patel-Harman

Reshma is a facilitator for Momentum Learning.  She has a rich and diverse background in education, with over 30 years of experience in teaching, leading and facilitating.   Reshma believes that whanaungatanga and manaakitanga are the core pillars of building on maatauranga. She is a passionate, capable, knowledgeable educator who strives to provide the very best opportunities for all learners.  Reshma always looks to find creative ways that teachers can adapt programs to be inclusive and flexible.

Through her teaching and professional facilitation with a range of educators from teachers to principals, she demonstrates a thorough understanding of effective pedagogy, and effective teaching and learning practices.  Reshma is well read and has a good knowledge of current research and enjoys finding new possibilities in which learning is engaging, relevant and is driven by a moral context and kaitiatanga.

Her delivery method is motivated professionals to aspire to be their best through coaching and mentoring. She uses Te Reo Māori to bring Cultural Responsive pedagogies perspectives to the forefront.  Schools she works with comment positively in relation to her interactions, professionalism and quality of support.
